The different phases of the moon are so full of knowledge and impact our lives all the time. Have you ever noticed how around certain days of the month, you feel very energetic, whereas on other days you might feel lethargic or very tired? Aside from any physical issues, these phases and changes in your body are thanks to the different phases of the moon.
Everything has a cycle. The weather, seasons, our lives, plants, everything that you see in nature goes through a cycle, that is the natural way. Some of these cycles, such as the weather or the moon, are big enough to influence other cycles, such as our cycle, tides, rain, etc.
The moon goes through eight phases, and each phase affects us differently.
New Moon- This stage signifies new beginnings and the clearing of the old. This is the best time to start new projects.
Waxing Crescent- This phase encourages the setting of new intentions. Think about what it is you want, keep a list of your intentions for the next month with you.
First Quarter- This phase signifies that you are ready to take action towards your intentions. Spend time thinking about your past decisions and how you can change them for better future outcomes.
Waxing Gibbous- You have taken action, but you need to sort out the fine details. Figure out what is working for you and what it is you need to change.
Full Moon- This is the time for spiritual growth. All the work you have put in from the new moon pays off.
Waning Gibbous- This is the time to experience gratitude. Be thankful for everything that has worked out for you and everything that is coming.
Third Quarter- Time for forgiveness. Forgive others and yourself for any mistakes in the past and move on.
Waning Crescent- Be mindful of everything around you. Focus on bringing love and peace to everything in your life.
And, back to the new moon! These stages of the moon cycle help us to live more consciously and with purpose. This is a cycle we need to start living by more and more, as the power of positive thinking and positive actions is very powerful, especially when done in unison.
